How do you convince someone?

How do you convince someone in your organisation to assume a responsibility that is not in their role description?

Well, you do not.

Unless, the responsibility of sustainability (the triple bottom line) is in everyone’s role description, from the pattern designer to the store staff, and something the performance is measured on, you will not be able to integrate sustainability.

Which is why the first step to increase ownership of sustainability is just that; include it in everyone's role description and make sure it is part of the performance measurement.
